Program Graduates

Carlos Dejud, Ed. S. Bilingual School Psychology, M. A. Special Education (Bilingual Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders), received his BSS certificate in January of 2003. His areas of professional interest include functional behavioral assessment, positive behavioral support, school-wide interventions, ethical practices in the delivery of psychological services to children and youth, and non-discriminatory assessment of English Language Learners. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of Arizona. He can be reached at dejud@u.arizona.edu.

Nancy Dever, M.A. Early Childhood Special Education received her BSS certificate in December of 2003. Nancy taught PS-6th grade special education in a small school district for over 20 years, and was the Arizona Behavioral Initiative (ABI) Project Director for this district. She is an ABI coach, as well as a coach for the Professional Development Leadership Academy. She is currently working as Grant Administrator for Cochise County School Superintendent’s Office and is heavily involved in providing quality professional development to county teachers in order to improve student achievement through more effective teaching. Eva Fritsch, B.A. Art History, B.Ed. Elementary Education, M.Ed. Technology, received her BSS certificate in May 2003. She is interested in technology and how it enhances education and is a teacher and technology coordinator in Victorville, California. She can be reached at fritec@fusd.net.

Rita Solliday, M.Ed. Elementary and Special Education (Learning Disabilities, Emotionally Disabled, Counseling, provisional Visual Impairment) has 21 years of experience in special education. She received her BSS certificate in May 2004. Rita has worked as the special education director for Ball Charter Schools since 1997. Her areas of professional interest include assisting charter schools in all areas of special education and positive behavioral supports. She can be reached at sscholli@ix.netcom.com.

Gita Upreti, M.A. Special Education (Bilingual Learning Disabilities/Emotional and Behavioral Disorders), received her BSS certification in May of 2004. Her areas of professional interest include curricular and behavioral intervention with secondary students with LD/EBD, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBS).
