Master of Science Degree in College Student Personnel Services and Administration
The course MSCD 6360 CULTURAL DIFFERENTIATION AND OUTREACH is a required course for students seeking the M.S. degree in College Student Personnel Services and Administration. This course focuses on the historical, contemporary, socio-cultural issues of multicultural education. Emphasis is placed on the demographic, legal, political, economic, and linguistic issues inherent in a culturally diverse student population within higher education. Students enrolled in this course have a two-week study abroad experience. In spring 2005, the study abroad experience involved a comparative analysis of student services in higher education institutions in Western Europe. In future semesters, students will continue to participate in the study abroad experience, with anticipated plans to return to Europe in 2006.
